Why join a swim team?

1. A swim team provides a low impact and high cardiovascular workout.
2. It is a great way to make friends.
3. It builds self confidence.
4. It provides structure for goal setting.
5. It provides the exercise that reduces stress.

What does it cost to be part of the swim team?

There is a Annual Registration fee of $60.00
This fee registers the swimmer with USA Swimming and provides the necessary insurance for the swimmer to participate in USA Swimming sanctioned events. Please see the USA Swimming Web Page for more information on the benefits of belonging to USA Swimming.
There is a SWAT summer fee of $150.00 per swimmer. This fee pays for the outdoor pool time at Alta Canyon for the long course season. Contact Chris Wightman -- See the Summer 2010 Swimmer Info on the Home Page for questions concerning paying after June 1st.

What equipment do I need to have?

You will need swim googles, workout swim suit (e.g. jammers for boys), and cap (optional). Girls no bobby pins please.

What time and where do I need to go to try out?

SWAT practices at the Alta Canyon Sport Center Pool for the summer. Alta Canyon is located at 9565 South Highland Drive. Practices are Mon - Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 am. (See Calendar Page)
Tryouts are Monday - Wednesday at 7:00 am. No appointment necessary - see coach Andee at the pool.
